Beach Time!

Alessia went to her first beach this weekend! It was lots of work but also loads of fun. We took her to Cape Henlopen, one of Delaware's state parks. It's quieter and cleaner there - Rehoboth beach is just FULL of people on this hot summer weekends. We had all the gear - cooler, tent, beach toys, sunscreen and beach caddy to haul the stuff in. Alessia LOVED to eat the sand. She kept trying to eat fistfuls of it! She was interested in the water from afar but as soon as we got close to it she freaked out. I think the loud crashing waves and the massiveness of it scared her. We only managed to stay on the beach for a couple of hours. It was too hot and there were bugs everywhere. We even sprayed ourselves with bug spray but they still managed to bite us (luckily not Alessia though!).
